NetMAXFAQ : Configuration : How do I change the IP address of my NetMAX machine?
	Applies to: NetMAX 4.0x and later address-suppressed
	If you are changing one IP address to another in the same subnet, simply go to Network->Interfaces->Edit Interface, manually change the address, and do a Commit. If you are changing multiple IP addresses on an interface, or changing to an IP on a different subnet, you will need to follow these steps. Due to many input validity checks (for safety), its not possible to just change the address outright. Go to Network->Interfaces->Edit Interface Change the NetMAX to 128.0.0.0 and click Store Click the Edit button to return to the Edit Interface screen Add the new IP addresses to the list of IPs and click Store Go to Network-Routing Change the IP address of your default router to its new value and click Store If your DNS servers are also changing, then navigate to Network->DNS Change the DNS IP addresses to their new values and click Store Go to Network->Domains Change the IP ranges on your domains to the new IP range and click Store Go to Network->Naming Change the IP addresses associated with your hostnames to their new IP addresses and click Store Go back to Network->Interfaces->Edit Interface Remove your old IP addresses Change your netmask back to its correct value Store and Commit the changes Physically plug your NetMAX into the new device (cable modem, router, etc...) if necessary After waiting an appropriate amount of time (a few minutes), log into the NetMAX interface and test that everything is working properly If you are still having problems, give us a call and we'd be happy to help out. address-suppressed
