Blocking Messenger Software Traffic If you would like to block common internet messaging programs from getting through to your NetMAX-protected network, you can do so by targeting the ports these programs use: MSN Messenger = 1863 Blocking these programs is as simple as creating an input and output firewall rule dropping all traffic on both rules: Rule type: INPUT Rule type: OUTPUT Store and commit, and that's it!
