2. New NetMAX E-Mail Powerpack

Administering e-mail can be a real chore these days -- setting up all those users with programs and logins from their computers, all those pointless and annoying e-mails that flood the network... and don't even get us started on all the viruses and worms! Wouldn't it be SO much easier -- and safer -- if you could just give your users webmail accounts, and filter the trash out at the server level?

Now you can, with NetMAX! Get our new E-mail Powerpack -- you get our implementation of SpamBouncer and a full-featured SquirrelMail webmail package too! Have powerful spam-filtering and webmail for NetMAX Professional Suite running in minutes... and best of all, the price is only $100!

3. NetMAX Webmail Configuration Tips
******************************

This article describes the process for setting up the webmail portion of NetMAX with E-Mail Powerpack. It assumes some previous knowledge of the NetMAX interface and the workings of Internet mail (E-Mail). This document also assumes that the NetMAX system is running version 4.04 or higher with both Professional and Email Powerpack licenses installed.

Once the NetMAX is installed, you must configure network settings,
domains, and users to facilitate receipt of E-Mail. Also, the NetMAX must be configured as the primary mail exchange for any domains for which the NetMAX will handle mail. In addition, the IMAP service must be enabled on your NetMAX. Please refer to the NetMAX Server documentation for instructions on how to do this.

Next, the webmail specific parts must be completed:

1. Log into the NetMAX interface as an administrative user

2. Access HOME|Services|Mail

3. Place a check in the "Enable Webmail" box.

4. Select the "Host Name" you will use to access your webmail.

5. Select the appropriate "Website Method." If you have created or purchased and installed a certificate for the specified "Host Name," then selecting "https" is strongly recommended to allow secure encrypted access to webmail.

6. If "https" was specified for "Website Method", then select
the appropriate certificate for the selected "Host Name" from
the "Choose Certificate" pulldown menu.

7. STORE and COMMIT changes.

Webmail is now accessible at the selected website method and "Host Name", in the subdirectory "webmail". For example, if the "Host Name" were "mail.mynetmax.net" and the "Website Method" were "http," then webmail would be accessed at "http://mail.mynetmax.net/webmail" using a web browser. You can also find the webmail access URL under HOME|Services|Mail at the bottom of the "Webmail Options" table, after the NetMAX has finished commiting.

To log into your webmail account, access the webmail access URL and provide your authentication information. NOTE: When specifying the value for "Name:" in the form, simply enter the user name for the account you are logging into. Do not specify the entire email address, as this will prevent you from logging in.

Enjoy your webmail!

4. Let's Hear From You!
