[News] NetMAX Demo in Port Huron The NetMAX Team is off to present the NetMAX Desktop again this month, with a visit to the St. Clair Community College Library in Port Huron, Michigan on October 5th. The presentation will be taking place at the regular 7pm meeting of COMP, the Computer Operators of Marysville and Port Huron, in Room 201 of the Clara E. McKenzie Building. 2. Resolving DSL Modem Conflicts DSL Modem technology is advancing rapidly, and now they are often pre-configured with their own NAT and Firewall. Because of this, problems sometimes occur when you try to connect your DSL Modem to your NetMAX server. The two factors that will cause connection issues are:
Network Address Translation (NAT) is a level of security, which masks the private IP addresses of the PCs on your network with a single public IP address. With NAT, the private IP address of any PC on your network is never transmitted over the Internet.
