[Support] Holiday Hours It's the holiday time of year, and we here at NetMAX would like to wish you a happy Halloween and (in advance) Thanksgiving! Like many of you, we here at NetMAX will be spending Thanksgiving with our families, which means that NetMAX Support will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th. Online help will continue to be available during this time, and our technical support number will still be accepting support messages over the holiday weekend, but immediate live phone support will be unavailable. Because of these holiday hours, any support requests or orders recieved after 2pm on Wednesday, November 24th may not be addressed until we resume normal support hours on Monday, November 28th. Thanks for your patience, and have a happy holiday season! 2. Config Backups without Floppy Drives This month's tech article concerns performing configuration backups and restores on machines which do not have a floppy drive -- in particular, the Magnia SG20. You need only to install a package to get this working. Install the RPM package by using the NetMAX Package Manager. This package can be found under the category "NetMAX Updates." Once this package is running, configuration backups will be made each day at 3:00 AM. The administrator can retrieve the most current backup by accessing:
If, for some reason, an administrator needs to manually run a config-backup to tarball, they can simply log into the NetMAX as the root user and execute:
